National Treatment Purchase Fund website nominated for prestigious award

The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF)’s revamped website has been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Best Website – Large Company’ category of the 2025 Spider Awards.

The new website was launched in December 2024, providing user-friendly information for patients, healthcare providers and nursing home providers.

The website includes access to the most up-to-date monthly public hospital waiting list figures through its interactive enhanced reporting tool. This information is used to provide safe, timely access to care for patients, in the right place at the right time in line with Sláintecare principles.

Alongside our web designer partner, Zesty, the NTPF successfully made the ‘best website’ shortlist of eight companies. Celebrating its 27th anniversary, the Spider Awards celebrate digital excellence in Ireland. The awards ceremony takes place on 21 March 2025.

Commenting, NTPF Chief Executive Officer Fiona Brady said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised as a finalist in this prestigious competition for our innovative healthcare website design.

This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team and the designers who have worked tirelessly to create a platform that not only enhances user experience but also ensures accessibility, efficiency, and trust—key values in healthcare.

We continue to improve this website based on user feedback and data insights with the ultimate aim of contributing to a more efficient healthcare system.”
